My HERO!

Why do you insist on criticizing the men and women who save lives everyday and are out there protecting people like you so that you can sleep well at night. If you think these people are overpaid, agencies everywhere are accepting applications. Maybe you want to start working holidays and long late nights so that my husband can be home for holidays. And when my husband has to work extra hours because none of you want to risk your lives, I have to sit home and worry if he got enough sleep last night to be able to protect himself today. People are always complaining that cops are overpaid well I don't see you out there praying that you make it home alive. My husband is a hero and if he is ever taken from me there will be no amount of money that would ever make this worth it. My husband risks his life everyday (at work and at home). He does this to protect you and your kids and all of your loved ones. He takes drugs out of your kids reach he retrieves your stolen property he retrieves drug money and puts it back into circulation. He retrieves much much more money than what will pay his salary even after retirement. So until I see each and every one of you complainers go out there and say your prayers and call your husband or wife and children to say "I love you" just in case as you strap on your 50 pound bullet proof vest to go do a drug bust. You have no room to complain! Remember who is the first person you call when you need help, when your house was burglarized or your neighbor has been stabbed or if you heard strange noises outside and you don't want to risk your life to see what is out there... You are calling my husband. So if he doesn't deserve his pay then maybe he won't be there when you need him. Thank you to everyone who supports their local law enforcement and for all those who don't well I hope that when you are in a time of need you will appreciate those overpaid brave men and women!!!

Prada!!!!

Ok, So we already got a new dog. It only took about two days. Prada.... Well, she is certainly living up to her name... EXPENSIVE! Thankfully the Sheriff department pays her bills since she is technically their dog, even though we keep her. Well Prada and Randy started their first week of five weeks of drug training school. She did GREAT! Everyone loved her and the instructors were amazed at how well trained she is already. Unfortunately she got a little too excited during one of her training drills when she found her "toy" otherwise known as a PVC pipe stuffed with drugs. We didn't know how bad it was until the next night when she wouldn't even touch her food. Turns out she forced that pipe so deep into her throat that the vet had to do emergency surgery on her at 3:00 am to sew her tonsil back into place. Apparently she cut open a vein that was just pumping blood into her stomach. I didn't notice all the blood because she had just been swallowing it. Thankfully she must have gotten sick of swallowing all the blood because finally she just let about 1/4 cup of blood just pour out. It was so horrible but if it wasn't for that we wouldn't have even known there was an issue. Well she got a doctors note and missed three days of school to recover. She is completely back to normal and finally eating. I started calling her my little anorexic puppy because she is soooo skinny. We are working on fattening her up! hahaha.

PS.... I learned that after we had to give Kira back and we got Prada.... Everything really does happen for a reason. Prada is so awesome!!!!

Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved before

OK, That sounds a little dramatic but honestly my heart hurts. I never realized that in 4 days I could have fallen so much in love and then gotten my heart broken. 4 days!!! That is all that it takes! We got a dog! She is beautiful and so so so sweet! She doesn't bark, she doesn't jump on people, she listens, she follows us all around the house. We LOVE her.... Randy had to take her to the vet yesterday to make sure all of her bones are healthy and that she is overall in great health. He warned me on Monday that if anything is wrong with her we would have to give her back. I knew that could possibly happen, but I thought it would never happen... It happened. I didn't even say goodbye to her. She was sleeping when I left... I expected her to come home that night but she didn't. Randy took her back to Adlerhorst. They will end up selling her privately. She will be able to live a normal "non-working" dogs life. She will make someone very very happy...

It's going to be ok, everything happens for a reason. But today....

After a long day of running errands we are both exhausted and finally on our way home...

Randy: Do you think that you have enough gas in the car for the week or would like to me to stop now to fill the car up?

That's it! That's all I need! I love that he thinks of the small things. I have never felt so safe! So protected! So loved! He is the most amazing, thoughtful, loving person that I have ever known and I can't believe that he is mine! Not just for now... but FOREVER!!!

We are getting a dog!!!!

Not just any dog but a narcotics dog! I have wanted Randy to get a police dog ever since we doggy sat Daro (MJ's police dog). I loved him! We had him for two nights and he followed me around the house. Not that the house was all that big because at the time we lived in the one bedroom Foothill Ranch condo. Daro could basically sit in the middle of the hall and see me at all times. But if I was in bed, he was right there. If I was on the couch, he was right there. I loved him! Unfortunately he already had many years on him by then and he passed away very soon after that fun weekend.

Well we are finally getting a dog!!! Randy went to look at them last week and there were only a few to see. Two Labs and a Malinois. Both Labs were a good looking brown, one was short and "chubby" and the other had big brown eyes that grabbed Randy as soon as he walked up. The Malinois was too intimidating, and considering we would like to start a family soon we thought a Lab or a German Shepherd would be a better fit for our home. So far Randy's favorite is Duke, the Lab with the big brown eyes. But Randy will go back early next week because the owners just left to pick up some more dogs from Europe. We don't know what dogs they will get so we are hoping for a German Shepherd but no matter what... I am so excited because...

The Perfect Birthday Party Dress...

So my FABULOUS husband has decided that I deserve a party. Why? Well I am going to be the big... the dreaded 3 0 !!! and on top of that... Well, I finally graduated from College!!! Whoo Hoo!

So the guestlist has been made, a very small group of my closest friends, and the evite has been sent (most have responded except a few... I won't mention any names but you know who you are!) and I have the perfect vision of what the house is going to look like. Lots of pink! I feel like a child again but who cares! It's so fun! I have been to the party store, I know exactly what I am going to buy. We have been to Costco and we know exactly what food we are going to serve... So now what?

All that is left is..... the dress......... easy right?

Ok Seriously, How hard can it be to find a 30th birthday party dress??? Right? WRONG!!! Either I am getting really old or my taste is just sooooo far off from the rest of the world because all the dresses are either too mom-ish (sorry moms...) or too slutty or just too funky... I mean seriously... who wears socks with a dress and heels?? So I finally find the perfect dress. I have searched a million websites, I have spent hours upon hours at the local malls and finally online at a store called Dillards, yes, a department store hmmm I never thought I could find a fabulous dress at a department store called Dillards but I did! YAY! I'm willing to buy it online and pay for shipping only because it has been a LOONG difficult journey. So I click on the color "Sangria" see why the dress is perfect? Sangria... yum! ... then the size... SERIOUSLY! 10?! That's all that you have? A size 10!!! Come on! I have agonized for days... (I hate to pay shipping for a dress that I have not tried on and if it doesn't fit then I have to pay for return shipping and then I am back to square one of no dress) So I have agnoized for days... buy it? or keep looking? I finally decide BUY IT ALREADY! And all they have is a size 10...

The search is back on for that perfect, fabulous birthday party dress... Any suggestions???
